Hips and Elbows rating
(a1) HD normal - the best hip rating possible from the SV
OFA (E)=OFA excellent
(a2) HD fast normal - near normal hips
OFA (G)=OFA good
(a3) HD noch zugelassen - hips are still acceptable for breeding
OFA (F)=OFA fair
(a6) Ausland HD certification was passed in another country rather than Germany.
(a4) HD mittlere - moderately dysplastic – not passing
(a5) HD schwere- severely dysplastic – not passing
What is " ZW " score ?
Thereby compiling notes and creating the statistics called the ZW (Zuchtwert=Breeding Value) of each dog. This vet at least knows how to compare to the other GSDs hips/elbows he is looking at, which is really only fair.
Your dog is assigned the ZW initially from adding up its parents ZW. Say,
the Sire has 101 and the Dam 95. Add these two up to be 196 and divide it by two making it 98 that is your dogs' est. ZW score.
